Below is what we did in 2012-2013
If you missed today:
1). Period 1 we finished up the Ponder E&M nine questions from yesterday and collected them, doing several demonstrations to understand them as we went
2). Here are four pages of notes about Magnetism that aid in answering many of the questions in this unit: Magnetism Facts
3). Then we did demonstrations to complete problems 1-7 and 10 (drew magnetic field lines for all four diagrams on back of the sheet) on the Magnetic Study Sheet (pink sheet)

Videos showing the conservation of energy (in that the metal sphere cannot go higher than the height it was dropped from) and then a magnetic sphere is dropped into two non magnetic spheres at rest and as the magnet approaches the other two it's kinetic energy increases due to magnetic attraction...so much more energy transfers to the far marble and it shoots of the incline plane
