Welcome to our subdivisions own category in my webpage smile2340.com
My name is Paul M Konichek and Judy (my wife) closed on our home on Valentine's Day 2020. We moved down here from Central Wisconsin in March of 2016 and lived in Leander for three years, then Buda for 9 months and then 738 Hazy Hills since (we moved as we were trying to stay near our two grandchildren, 5 & 2 currently) and hopefully this will be our last move for awhile.
Yesterday, I decided to place, on this webpage, all the best of our HW Field Camera critter photos/videos for everyone to enjoy and will add to them each month so keep checking them out.
Also, last night, I decided to place Stargazers on smile2340.com; instead of adding everyone's email to a group to send out every week. That way you can just check smile2340.com to see when and I'll be holding the next Stargazers session and my notes of what we'll attempt to see so you can look at them before you show up . Currently, I plan on holding the sessions adjacent to my garage on Fridays or Saturdays, depending on weather and my availability.
How I arrived at my webpage name decades ago, is that, a smile was the password to enter my classroom and since the face professionals (dentists, makeup artists, plastic surgeons) already had smile, smile1, smile2, etc., I just got frustrated and placed my classroom number on the end and no one had smile2340.com yet.
If you like Astronomy check out, at least, the first of the 5 Must See Videos, under the Astronomy tab.
Under the Ancestry tab, I did a ton of work finding as many grandparents for our two grandchildren as I could and how I did it might interest you.
Under the Pythagorean Triplets tab, I think I'm the first person in the history of mankind to find a way to name all the primitive (not a multiple of any triplet) Pythagorean Triplets by naming them by how I generated them from the Adam & Eve Pythagorean Triplet 3,4,5.
Under the Rubik's Cube tab, I mathematized a solution as I remember #'s easier than letters of the alphabet and have photos of each turn for a solution. I can go years without solving the Cube and can still solve it.
Under the Physics tab, I have (probably one of the top High School Physics Programs in the Nation) the Physics program that I learned from two great Physics teachers and carried their program on, with videos of the students having fun. For example, you can find a student pulling the sheet out from under a 3' x 8' table full of dishes, successfully, and how the student reacts afterwards is priceless. I really enjoyed teaching and did so from 1975 through 2015, when I finished the last seven weeks of an Applied Calculus class, for the University of Stevens Point; as the 33 College Juniors & Seniors had their professor leave town at spring break and they pulled me out of retirement to bail them out. Their classroom password was a positive 2nd derivative expression (which is another way of saying a smile translated to Calculus).
I am still a Teacher Liaison for the Space Foundation in Colorado Springs (NASA's educational division) and will be attending the 37th Annual Space Symposium soon. As a Teacher Liaison, I am available to give presentations on anything space related (including Astronomy), for free (I might add). I've done boy scout presentations and a group of ladies asked me to give a presentation of stars once.
There are so many more tabs of educational material in this webpage and some real diamonds (educationally speaking) hidden for those who can find them. Enjoy searching for the diamonds.
