September 11th (Tuesday) Physics 500 Lab and How to Do a Lab Report in general
If you missed today:
Besides reading through todays page, you'll need to find a Physics student who did the lab to join you during joint free time, in back of room 2342 (neighboring Physics classroom) and get'er done. It should only take you about 20 minutes to collect the data for 3 toy vehicles.
Get ready for the Physics 500 today!
Data collected yesterday to graph.
How to do a LAB REPORT
Physics 500 Lab
The Physics 500 Lab is due Friday of this week. Do not hand in a hard copy (do not print out); instead have your full names and period in your file name and save it to your H: drive (Example Filename: Paul Konichek and Derek Radtke pd 1) then use My Computer to drag your completed lab to the R drive under Konichek Physics, Physics 500 Lab, and whatever Period you are in folder.
Big Picture for Today:
1. There are up to nine parts to a full lab report and they must be in the correct order: Title Page, Purpose, Procedure, Data Table, Graphs, Calculations, Questions, Conclusion, and Summary. Note handout above.
2. A spreadsheet like Excel can do so much more than a calculator. The more you can learn about Excel the better as you will help you in college, your job, and your hobbies.
