The Orange Trail (top, bottom and west side 1.02 miles + 0.48 miles west side = 1.5 miles)
(The only full loop trail and has high sand dunes on the north side upstream from bridge.)
FYI
Again, Mike & Luke took the time and effort to build and color all the trails in HW and as HW grew they had to redo several of the trails. We can do our part by picking up the litter, maintaining the trails (especially after ice storms), and improving the trails for everyone to enjoy.

The Orange Trail description:
The Orange Trail may be the least known of all the colored trails but has a beauty all of its own. What I enjoy about the orange trail is that it is a loop and that on the lower eastern side it divides into two possibilities: one takes you through a very deep ditch that flows under the bridge on HWBLVD at the lower end of the trail. The beauty of experiencing this ditch is that it is more like being in sand dunes. It is actually hard to believe that you are in HW as this high sand dune portion is a whole different habitat. To your children these sand dunes at the bottom of the orange trail will be mystifying and an adventure like no other for them. The other possibility splits off on the northeast side of the trail and takes you west quicker, in case there is water flowing in the ditch due to a recent rain it would be safer to take this shorter alternative out. Both possibilities come out at near the same place just above the bridge on HWBVD.
Below is just a rough sketch of the orange route. Many people just like taking the parallel to HWBVD part on the west side of the orange route so as to not have to walk on the sidewalk, as it is shaded more being in the trees of the orange route.
